The Axis Hotel

The ornate details of The Axis Hotel, a historic 1920s property sitting on the National Register of Historic Places, were preserved during the adaptive reuse of this property. Now part of Hilton's Tapestry Collection, EIS worked with our partners to execute custom public space and guest room millwork for this boutique hotel, including decorative marquetry in the lobby bar and metal inlay in the building's columns to complement its original charm.

The age of the building lent to many challenges and little room for error, including accommodating the original structural columns and existing finishes. Our team's attention to detail ensured the lobby millwork, reception desk, custom wall panels, column wraps, and guest room millwork were expertly engineered, manufactured, and installed. We even helped the property stain elements of the interior to match the building's original finishes.
